General Information

Segovia is a spanish city, capital of the province of the same name and part of the autonomous community of Castile and León.

It is situated in the centre of the iberique peninsula, near Valladolid (111km), the capital of the autonomous community and near Madrid, the state capital.

Its landscapes are made of dry plains, pine forests, valleys and a wide area of mountains.

Its localisation, together with its altitude (More than 1.000 metres above the sea level) are responsible for its climate characterised by four distinct seasons with very cold temperatures in winter and very hot in summer. But the weather is dry and nice all year long, and especially in Spring when the flowers blossom and in Autumn when the green of the trees turns into a gold and copper colour, making the city even more beautiful.

Segovia is a city you discover little by little, offering new wonders every time you come back. It is internationally recognized for its artistic beauty, its incredible monuments, its so particular light, its atmosphere of unique purity and its luxurious parks that surround it and contrast with the ocher-coloured stones on which the city stands.

The city was declared World Heritage Site in 1985 by the Unesco,

In Segovia, you will discover its houses and city walls, its palaces and temples, its trees and towers...all in a singular network of narrow and winding streets, unexpected places that overlook the countryside around the city, its golden stones and its vegetation whose changing colours all over the year will surprise you whenever you come.
